We went to our favorite farm on our anniversary to hear a bluegrass band called Buggy Whipp. The concert was part of the farm's free summer concert series.
Have you ever seen a female banjo player? For a partially deaf grandma who began only four years ago, she was amazing. Such a stage presence. Her daughter and grand-daughter also play in the band.
Our babysitter came over to watch the older three so we enjoyed being out with only one of our four children. After a quick stop at Jimmy John's we arrived just as the evening light let the colors of the what and oat fields come alive.
The farmhouse is just up the bank from the Mississippi that provides a nice breeze to cool things down and blow the bugs away.
I'm nuts about the oak trees here.
Joe has our camera figured out better than I - he found the right setting to capture the clouds that evening. If I were an artist I think clouds and sunsets would be my niche.
I also go gaga when I see my children with my husband from a distance. I just want to cry for joy.
