Somehow time slipped away from yesterday on the Feast of Our Lady of the Snows so we ended up combining it (quite nicely) the Transfiguration for today.
Focusing on white foods, here's how our little luncheon tea party turned out:
- Catholic Children's Bible opened to the story of the Transfiguration
- White candle
- Our Elijah Wee Felt Saint
- White Phlox
- White tea
- Egg salad sandwiches
- Cheese stick
- Apple slices
- "T" cookies (it's T Week, how Serendipitous!)
And for Our Lady of the Snows, the story was read, the Grotto Kit glued together and the marshmallow snowmen assembled for dessert.
To send our blood sugar even higher tonight I am planning on whipping up some cream and plopping some vanilla pudding in the middle for a "pudding in a cloud" effect.
No mountains to climb in these parts, but we could pitch a tent in the backyard to round out the evening!
