For dishwashers. Really, even if I have to clean the filter on this one, I am so grateful for this modern appliance.
Paper towels. I am all for eco-friendly homemaking, but sometimes a paper towel just fits the bill.
Kids who are old enough to be really helpful with the cleaning routine, and who even tackle the revolting stuff like kitten barf. (paper towel job)
Boys and bouncy balls.
That all four kids who will be in the next theater production are happy with the parts. It will be especially fun to commission a Pied Piper costume for from a seamstress extraordinaire with whom we are privileged know. I'm hoping it will look a bit like this. (Princess #2 will relish this role!)
For at least one carpool arrangement in my life (for theater) that works out and makes our busy schedule a bit easier! Thank you, Mrs. L.! This week I used the time to read Greek myths. Promise I didn't fritter it away on FB and Downton Abbey fanvids this week.
For the amazing, talented, and highly experienced in-home speech therapist assigned to us by the school district. When she is here "playing" with him he produces words we've never heard before.
Mild temps after a snowstorm so my littlest can get outside too. He's addicted to shoveling and insists on going out with the big kids now.
Thankful my husband can work from home when it snows!
We had an unexpected visit from grandparents. Grandpa always his front pocket with candy for the kids to find right before dinner. Great way to win over grandchildren. Parents not so much.
Joe had an opportunity to take the kids skiing for the first time ever. Spendy, but fun!
For my little girl who thinks it's funny to hide in the closet, then pop out, and scare the wits out of me when I get out of the shower. I think my scream scared the wits out of her!
Little People. These challenge my love/hate relationship with plastic toys. I hate that they are brightly colored plastic. I love that my little people enjoy them so much, and they stand up without falling over.
My husband roasted two chickens one Saturday when I was out all day. We are cooking meat only on weekends in Lent, but the leftover meat also found it's way into chicken pot pie on Sunday and chicken salad on Monday. Soup from the bones will also be on the menu later in the week. Not only that, my son discovered he loves to pick the chickens. Loves the gross factor.
Jiffy corn bread mix. Quick & easy.
Kids who like tea, and this hot water dispenser to make the process safe and easy. Helps keep them hydrated in the winter!
Winter is almost over. Winter is almost over. Winter is almost over.
Fifteen more weeks until Europe. Fifteen more weeks until Europe. Fifteen more weeks until Europe.
The best cousin ever, who surprised me by sending Jane Austen stamps across the pond (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
What are you thankful for today?
